Still don’t know which ticket to buy? These are the tickets you can buy to visit Machu Picchu:
- 1: Classic Machu Picchu Ticket (circuit 1, 2, 3 or 4)
- 2: Machu Picchu (circuit 4) + Wayna Picchu Mountain.
- 3: Machu Picchu (circuit 3) + Machu Picchu Mountain.
- 4: Machu Picchu (circuit 4) + Huchuy Picchu Mountain.
- 5: Machu Picchu (circuit 1 or 2) + Inka Bridge.
All ticket options include the main attraction which is the tour of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu by one of its 4 hiking circuits, in addition to this you can add one of the mountains surrounding Machu Picchu, ie: the Wayna Picchu, the famous mountain that appears in photos of Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, from where you have spectacular views of the landscape or Huchuy Picchu Mountain, the small mountain located to the left of Wayna Picchu.

1.- MACHU PICCHU CLASSIC TICKET (CIRCUIT: 1, 2, 3 or 4)
CIRCUIT 01
This ticket allows you to choose one of 4 walking circuits in the citadel at the time of entering the park, but not the entrance to any of the 3 mountains surrounding the citadel. With this ticket you have access to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, you can walk its streets, its temples, the famous Solar clock or the Intiwatana, it is suitable for the whole family, children under 3 years do not pay for their entry. You can stay in the park up to 4 hours from the time of admission.

Only with circuit 4. CIRCUITS IN THE MACHU PICCHU CITADEL
The circuits to visit Machu Picchu are 4 not to be confused with the types of tickets, are distributed along the Inca citadel, ie in the archaeological site, starting at the control gate of the park, were created to provide a better experience and avoid crowds of tourists which used to hinder the traffic inside the park.
The Ministry of Culture has chosen to combine them with the types of tickets in the following way and so we have the 5 types of tickets:
- If you purchase the Classic Machu Picchu Ticket, you can choose 1 of the 4 circuits when you check in at the entrance on the day of your visit.
- If you purchase the Machu Picchu + Wayna Picchu or Machu Picchu + Huchuy Picchu ticket, it can only be combined with the circuit 4 shown on the green map.
- If you purchase the Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Mountain Ticket, then you will have to go through circuit 3 in the citadel.
If you wish to visit 2 or more circuits then you will have to purchase more than one ticket, remember that re-entry to Machu Picchu is not allowed once you have left the park, nor are tickets to Machu Picchu sold at the entrance gate.

WHAT DO I NEED TO GET TO MACHU PICCHU?
First, get to the city of Cusco – Peru, ancient capital of the Inca empire and the current archaeological capital of America, is the closest tourist center to Machu Picchu, here is the international airport Alejandro Velasco Astete, land terminals, historic sites and Inca temples, hotels, restaurants and other facilities of tourist importance.

- BUS from the city of CUSCO to OLLANTAYTAMBO station, 2 hours trip approx., some train services include this bus service, check it when booking.
- TRAIN from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) 2 hours trip, important to book in advance.
- BUS from Aguas Calientes to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, 25 minutes trip, you can buy it in the same town, it is not necessary to book it in advance.
- Entrance ticket to Machu Picchu very important to book in advance.

Transportation tickets must be purchased round trip, additionally you must reserve your lodging in the town of Aguas Calientes in case you want to spend the night in the area.
Another way to get there:
- BUS from Cusco to HIDROELECTRICA, it is a 7 to 8 hour trip, it does not require to be booked in advance.
- ON FOOT, walking from HIDROELECTRICA to AGUAS CALIENTES, a distance of 11 kilometers separates them, which implies a 2 hour walk along the railroad line.
- BUS from Aguas Calientes to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, 25 minutes trip, you can buy it in the same town, it is not necessary to book it in advance.
- Entrance ticket to Machu Picchu very important to book in advance.
- With this option it is very likely that due to the travel time you will have to spend at least 01 night in Aguas Calientes.
